The First Words Preschool Speech and Language Program of Ottawa is funded by the Government of Ontario.  First Words is available to families of preschool children (birth to eligibility for senior kindergarten) living in Ottawa. First Words focuses on the prevention, early identification and treatment of speech and language problems in order to help preschool children reach their full communication potential.

First Words is funded by the Government of Ontario, Minstry of Children and Youth Servcies.  Pinecrest-Queensway Health and Community Services is the coordinating agency for the First Words PSL working in partnership with Ottawa Public Health Information (OPHI), Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (OCTC) and Andrew Fleck Child Care Services.
