If you think that your child might be having trouble learning to communicate, it is very important to get them the help they need as early as possible. Self-referrals to First Words Intake at CHEO

At any time, families can self-refer to our program by calling our Intake Office at 613-737-7600 ext.2500.  Our Intake office with mail or email an Intake package to you.  Complete it and mail it back to our office.  Your child’s name will be placed on the waiting list for an assessment only when we receive the completed package.  Due to privacy laws and in order to protect your privacy, we are no able to receive completed packages by email.

Please note:   Limited services for children born in 2012 may include a combination of services depending upon when the First Words Intake package is received.
