Screening Clinics
At a screening clinic, parents and their child will meet a speech-language pathologist who will screen the child for signs of a speech and/or language delay. Parents have the chance to ask the speech-language pathologist questions about any of their concerns. Screening clinics are open to Ottawa children from birth until they are eligible for senior kindergarten. Our free “drop-in” screening clinics are first come, first served and don’t require an appointment. Parental consent for the child to be screened is required. Assistance with transportation and cultural interpretation are available – contact first.words@pqchc.com.
